Part 1

Numbers 1–100

Learn these in blocks — ones, then teens, then tens — and pay close attention to the teen/ty pairs. That's the single most common pronunciation slip for Spanish speakers at this stage.

One.
Two.
Three.

Ten.

11–19 · Teens

Eleven.
Twelve.
Thirteen.
Fourteen.
Fifteen.
Sixteen.
Seventeen.
Eighteen.
Nineteen.

Stress the SECOND syllable: thir-TEEN, four-TEEN, eigh-TEEN. All end in the same "-teen" sound.

20, 30, 40...100 · Ty

Twenty.
Thirty.
Forty.
Fifty.
Sixty.
Seventy.
Eighty.
Ninety.
One hundred.

Stress the FIRST syllable and drop the "n" sound entirely: THIR-ty, FOR-ty, EIGH-ty.

Combined Numbers & Zero

Twenty-one.
Thirty-four.
Eighty-nine.
Zero.

"Zero," not "o" — save "oh" for phone numbers later in the course.

Part 2

Question Pattern

Swap one word and you get a new, correct question. "What's" pairs with a thing (a name, a number); "How old" and "How many" pair with a quantity.

"How old are you?"

"How many brothers do you have?"

Model Dialogue

Read aloud as a pair, then swap roles. Notice this reuses every phrase from Lesson 1 and adds numbers on top.

Line by Line

A "Hi again! How old are you?"
B "I'm thirty-four years old. What's your phone number?"
A "It's nine-eight-two, five-five-one, three-three-one-eight."
B "How many brothers and sisters do you have?"
A "I have two brothers and one sister. How about you?"
B "I have one brother. No sisters."
